The Advisory Program at Regina Dominican High School is an educational support program designed to focus on the following five Advisory Domains: Academic Achievement, Social/Emotional Learning, Leadership Development, Student Life and Spirituality. The Advisory Program strives to foster student success and school involvement by strengthening interpersonal relationships between Advisors and students. It strives to personalize each student’s experience at Regina Dominican. Advisors will create a culture of trust and mutual respect.
Advisory is a structured time period of ten minutes, each school day morning, or a 34-minute Morning Long Advisory special schedule. Students are randomly assigned to an Advisory and remain with their Advisor for all four years. Advisors will facilitate developmentally appropriate activities and provide consistent, caring and continuous adult guidance while monitoring student progress in the five Advisory Domains.

Advisory supplies built-in peer groups for all students which provide a means for community building for the four years of their high school career. Advisory promotes self-esteem and grants students a place to feel grounded. It provides peer recognition in an accepting environment, offsetting peer pressure and negative responses from peers in other areas.
